When you are learning English，listening，speaking and writing are important，but reading can also be very helpful．When you read，you can’t only learn some new words，but also you can learn how to use these English words．When you read，it gives you a good example for writing． Try to increase the number of your new words．If there are four or five new words on a page．write them in your notebook．But you don’t have to write them while you are reading

青柳是个非常棒的男孩子。
在学习初期，说得少，而且中文多。基本上小学生，初中生来学习一开始都会有这样的状态。通过跟老师的配合，和平时跟他的沟通，就会跟他强调：用完整的句子回答问题；要准备一些自己说的话；要复习，积累。
青柳自从上了我们这个课，就非常喜欢英语这个科目了。
课前一定会花时间准备，课后会听录音。然后我会每周一次考察他的复习情况，以便达到督促的目的。
通过一段时间的积累，青柳取得了非常大的进步。我和Peter老师都非常为他高兴。
其实每个孩子的积累过程还各不相同，有得孩子需要积累的时间短一些，有的孩子需要积累的时间短一些，这些都跟孩子的学习兴趣，方式和效率有关系。
小孩子跟大人的学习有些不同。兴趣，是首要因素。没有兴趣，就不会有学习的动力。所以家长在培养孩子的过程中，也可以多多考虑先培养孩子的兴趣，选择他喜欢的，然后才去选择对他好的。我们这种非传统方式，不需要孩子坐在教室几个小时，对于活泼好动的小年轻孩子们，是非常有趣和有效的方式。然后是成就感。让孩子在学习的过程中获得成就感，然后才对孩子提出要求。每个人都会有一种自我的成就感，荣誉感。这种感觉是内在的，会让孩子不需要外界的压力而自觉的学习，变成自我的动力。通过鼓励，赞扬，还有建议，让孩子获得成就感。这样孩子会积累一套自己的学习方法，成为一个主动学习的人。
然后就是大人在孩子的学习过程中扮演引导者的角色。很多家长会常叫孩子“你该做这个”，“你该这么做”。做到前面提到的兴趣之后，告诉孩子学习的重要性。就是认知，非常关键。了解一件事情的起因，过程以及结果，才会有方向感。过程就是计划，达到结果的计划。家长也可以跟孩子一起，做一些孩子能完成的计划。这样不需天天唠叨孩子，“怎么又玩电脑呢”。一周检查一次结果，孩子没做到，就可以跟他谈了。呵呵，孩子的荣辱感是很强烈的。他知道自己没做好，下次一定会改进了。

William is a surprising student. He is has made a great progress during his study in Spiiker. At the very beginning, he had trouble in understanding the Engish text in the textbook talking about what people do in their daily life. But now, after studying in Spiiker for about six months, he is able to understand and speak about stories, weather and some descriptions about people. During his class, he is extremely attentive and always takes notes. He listened very carefully and he always try his best to avoid Chinese but use English to express himself. Despite failure at the beginning, he kept on doing that in class and kept reviewing the notes in class. Almost every weekend, he carefully writes an essay to the teacher and study manager. That is very good. It is not only the quantity of essay that counts. The right way and constant effort pays him back.
