Hello everyone, this is crystal. And I've been studying in Spiiker for over four months. I got great help from my teacher Jimmy, and my study manager Mannie. During these days, I made daily conversations with my teacher, talking about the interesting topics provided by Spiiker every day, and communicated as much as possible with my teacher, in terms of different lifestyles, personal habits, learning and working experiences.
Here I'd like to share some of my own experiences with you guys.
I found out that although we could speak good English somehow, since most of us started our learning from elementary school, we're actually not familiar with a real daily conversation in English.
For instance, I often used inappropriate expressions to describe myself. Sometimes the words I used were too official, and sometimes strange adjectives just came out from my mouth and made myself like a robot.
And one more important thing, we may still think in our own language when we're speaking English.
The best way is to just forget you are a foreigner, trying to behave like a native speaker as much as you can during the conversation. I know it's hard, but it does work, the more you try, the more you can get.
So, hope you have a good time when you’re having your classes, enjoy yourself. Cheers
Crystal is a diligent active and humorous student. She has made great progress in a few months. Now she can communicate with teacher Jimmy fluently. Namely, she can talks to the foreign teacher just like friends. I wish she can acquire more from our teachers our Spikier English in following study.
Dear Crystal,
I have heard through Spiiker just now that you were actually quite an instrumental person in getting a lot of people to enroll with us. I think that's such a cool thing to do and I couldn't be more appreciative of the trust that you have in us, and I guess with yours truly as your teacher.
I guess all I could ask of you for now is to try and always remain focused in learning the language, while trying to appreciate and have fun with everything about it, through thick and thin. I'm pretty sure those people whom you've invited will also find their respective Spiiker teachers just as cool and effective with their teaching skills, just as how you and I get along so well together.
This little gesture goes a long way on your part, and it will also make me all the more eager and determined to actually impart to you all what I know and have mastered, so that one of these days, you'd be able to become as fluent with English as any native speaker in the US.
Many thanks again and I hope for more wonderful times and lessons with you as the days roll on. Thanks, Crystal! :)
Very truly yours,
Teacher Jimmy
